cellular adaption (pathology)

Cellular adaption is refer to the change made by cell response to adverse environment changes. The adaption maybe physiology (normal) or pathologic ( not normal).
They are five type adaption:-

  1. Atrophy -cell adapt where it decrease in cell size
  2. Hypertropy -cell adapt where it increase in cell size
  3. Hyperplasia - cell adapt to increase in the number of cell
  4. Dysplasia - generally refer to abnormal change in cellular cell, shape, size and organization. dysplasia is not considered a  true adaption even though it related to hyperplasia. Dyplasia often occur in the vicinity of cancerous cells and maybe involve in development of breast cancer.
  5. Metaplasia - occur when a differentiated cell of certain type is replace by another cell type.

Definition Of Pathology

Definition of pathology is the scientific study of the nature of disease and its causes, processes , development, and consequences. It also called pathobiology

General pathology, also called investigative pathology, experimental pathology or theoretical pathology. pathology is a board and complex scientific field which seeks to understand the mechanism of injury to cell and tissues as well as the body's means of responding to and repairing injury. Area of study include cellular adaptation to injury, necrosis, inflammation, wound healing and neoplasia. It forms the foundation of pathology that use this application ( knowledge) to diagnose diseases in humans, animals and plant.
